Thermodynamics arising from Tsallis’ thermostatistics
We show, in two different ways, that the Tsallis’ partition function and its derivatives are related to thermodynamic quantities such as entropy, internal energy, etc., in the same way as in Boltzmann-Gibbs’ formalism, with the Lagrange multiplier β replaced by its value 1 kBT . They are obtained within the finite heat bath canonical ensemble approach. Furthermore, we discuss the meaning of the...
متن کاملScaled Bregman divergences in a Tsallis scenario
There exist two different versions of the Kullback-Leibler divergence (K-Ld) in Tsallis statistics, namely the usual generalized K-Ld and the generalized Bregman K-Ld. Problems have been encountered in trying to reconcile them. A condition for consistency between these two generalized K-Ld-forms by recourse to the additive duality of Tsallis statistics is derived. It is also shown that the usua...
متن کاملGeneralization of the Mean-Field Ising Model Within Tsallis Thermostatistics
In this study, the mean-field Ising model, using the Bogolyubov inequality which has been obtained in the framework of the generalized statistical thermodynamics (GST), and is suitable for nonextensive systems, has been investigated. Generalized expressions for the mean-field magnetization and free energy have been established. These new results have been verified by the fact that they transfor...
متن کاملOn Rényi and Tsallis entropies and divergences for exponential families
Many common probability distributions in statistics like the Gaussian, multinomial, Beta or Gamma distributions can be studied under the unified framework of exponential families. In this paper, we prove that both Rényi and Tsallis divergences of distributions belonging to the same exponential family admit a generic closed form expression. Furthermore, we show that Rényi and Tsallis entropies c...
متن کاملA possible deformed algebra and calculus inspired in nonextensive thermostatistics
We present a deformed algebra related to the q-exponential and the q-logarithm functions that emerge from nonextensive statistical mechanics. We also develop a q-derivative (and consistently a q-integral) for which the q-exponential is an eigenfunction. The q-derivative and the q-integral have a dual nature, that is also presented.
